I chose Biology because I’ve always been interested in how living things work and how science can be applied to complex and multifactorial problems. The course differs from other sciences because of these multifactorial problems meaning you have to interpret questions and can't apply fixed formulas. I also like the practical experiments and being able to replicate similar environments to labs. It’s helped me develop my analytical and problem-solving skills and the teachers are very supportive and can help you in whatever you need, and they definitely make sure you enjoy it.
At Godalming, I’ve enjoyed the independence and meeting new people, as well as the supportive environment. My favourite part of college has been the social aspect which Godalming heavily encourages with all the facilities. I think the college really understands that students should enjoy their two years as well as learn and they create a good environment for it. The college has supported me personally by helping me outside of lesson times when I've been given competitive offers to help make sure I get the grades I need.
